Kevin G. Miller, former two-term member of the Virginia House of Delegates, announced this week that he is seeking the Republican nomination for the 26th District seat in the State Senate.
The 26th District includes his home city of Harrisonburg and the counties of Rockingham, Page, Rappahannock, Culpeper, and portions of Madison and Fauquier. The seat has been held since 1975 by Nathan H. Miller of Bridgewater, who announced last Tuesday that he is not seeking reelection this year.
In his statement, Kevin Miller cited his experience representing the city of Harrisonburg and the counties of Rockingham, Page, Greene and Shenandoah in the House of Delegates between 1980 and 1985.
