All three said that some of their closest friends were obviously griefstricken and unable to hide it. “That was all right,” Linda said. “It didn’t make us feel worse. In fact, in some cases it helped to know that our friends weren’t ashamed to cry, that they loved and missed our children, too. Consoling them was a help—giving us something to do, and giving of ourselves was healing.”

Available
Lord Fairfax Community College has available 24 scholarships to be awarded for the 1983-84 accademic year.
The scholarships, which will be awarded to high school seniors from Frederick, Warren, Clarke, Page, Shenandoah, Rappahannock, and Fauquier counties and the City of Winchester, are based on high school grade point average, letter of recommendation, list of extra curricular activities, and student statements.
Applications with instructions are available from high school guidance counselors or directly from Lord Fairfax Community College.
