Bedford Jesse Showers, 75, of Front Royal, died Monday, March 21, 1983, at Warren Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 24, at 11 a.m. in the chapel at the Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal with the Rev. Ray Campbell and Rev. Irving Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Showers was bom March 3, 1908, in Rappahannock County, the son of the late Edward and Cora Heflin Showers. He was a veteran of world War II and served in U.S. Army for 22 years at the Front Royal Remount Depot before retiring at the rank of staff sergeant in 1952. He was also a driver for City Cab and McRoyal Laundry.
Surviving are his wife, Minnie Belle Mills Showers ane one sister, Susie Kerns of Front Royal.
