Robinson said “I have no doubt these plans will receive very careful attention in the congress, particularly from the House and Senate Interior and Agriculture committees that will, presumably, share jurisdiction over the legislation to be submitted.
“My Washington office has not yet received maps showing the Seventh District acreages earmarked by federal authorities for intensive study as potential surplus federal property, though detailed maps have been provided to my district office in Winchester, and are available for inspection there by anyone interested. Map information is also on file in individual forest supervisor offices, such as the George Washington National Forest office in Harrisonburg,” Robinson said.
