When the curtain rose on plana for the high school renovation, two weeks ago, high school drama teacher Don Bomberger had two questions for the architect: the size of the theater’s seating and whether there would be a slant floor.

The architects described an auditorium with a flat floor, fixed seating and a capacity of 240.

At last week’s school budget hearing, Bomberger was ready with rehearsed remarks. He offered a list of eight specific concerns which he asked the School Board to consider before proceeding with the project.

The perfect setting for producing a high school play, Bomberger said, would include:
