hannock Lions Club will conduct the free vision and hearing tests in the District 24-A Lion’s Mobile Screening Van, a 27-foot Winnebago motor home converted and equipped by the Lions specifically for vision and hearing screening.
The screening van was purchased in 1976 by Lions Clubs in the Northern Virginia area (District 24-A) principally to conduct continuing screenings in the district in an effort to prevent blindness and deafness by early detection and immediate referral to sight and hearing specialists.
The costs of operating the screening van are borne by the Lions Clubs of District 24-A with proceeds - from their fund raising projects such as fruit and apple butter sales and sales of brooms, pecans, etc.
A “Medical History Survey” form will be sent home from school by each child involved in the testing, prior to date of screening in order that a parent or guardian may sign and return the form to the school before this sight .and hearing screening is performed. It is important that the form be
