ON THE SECOND DAY of
spring, Rappahannockers were “dreaming of a White Easter.” Ricky Bywatero of Amissville was pictured playing in the snow on a Saturday morning in March, 1964. The nearby jonquils were bursting into bloom.

Thirteen Rappahannock men attending a special meeting at the Hampton Inn voted to start a county Jaycee Chapter. They elected T.C. Lea, Jr. to be their temporary chairman until organisation could be completed and a formal election of officers held. James Ashby Way land was chosen temporary secretary.
