In August, the governor will announce the winner of the contest when he signs the Proclamation declaring September “Voter Registration Month”. The State Board of Elections will reproduce the winning poster and distribute it throughout the Commonwealth.
Entrance in this contest provides students with an opportunity to participate in voter education. The State Board of Elections encourages teachers to use this contest as an opportunity to teach students about elections and encourage their participation in the electoral process.
