Democrats Gather
Rappahannock County Democratic Mass Meeting will be held March 24 at noon at the court house in Washington.
The purpose of the meeting is to elect four delegates and two alternates to a Seventh District and State Conventions, both to be held in Norfolk, May 18. At these meetings, 78 delegates representing Virginia will be selected to attend the July 16-20 National Democratic Convention in San Francisco. This convention will nominate a Democratic Presidential Candidate.
Doors at the courthouse will open for the mass meeting at 11 a.m. It is important to arrive prior to 12:00, at which time the doors will close.
This is the grass-roots opportunity for Democrats to express their presidential candidate preference.
