Roof Repair
“Why are we letting the building continue to deteriorate?” demanded L.G. “Butch” Zindel. His remarks were regarding roof repairs at the elementary school.
On behalf of RCQE, Zindel, an Amusville contractor, objected to “piecemeal” emergency repairs, possibly by several different firms. “Why not do it and have done with it?” he asked.
Zindel suggested budgeting the total amount required for all phases of roof repair required at the high school, even if the school system would need to borrow to finance it. This would avoid possible inflation to the estimated prices and farther deterioration to the building, according to Zindel.
The group endorsed requesting an additional $60,000 to complete the reroofing at the elementary school during the coming year. The situation had
