The AmisaviUe Ruritan Club would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs. Luther Stuart, the county’s Board of Supervisors and the Amissville community for making possible the recent land gift to the Ruritans.
Due to the publicity this transaction has received, we have found that many in the reading audience were unaware of the Ruritan organization and its activities. Therefore, for their benefit, the following summary should prove helpftil.
Ruritan is a national organization which declares five basic objectives:
1. To promote among its members fellowship and goodwill.
2. To unify the efforts of individuals and institutions in the community in making it a better place in which to live.
3. To promote those agencies in the community that contribute directly to the progress of the community.
