Rappahannock County Education Association (RCEA) president Scarlett Dyer told the School Board that teachers support the superintendent’s proposed salary index. They urged the board to approve it as presented with “no ftirther tampering with the figures,” Dyer said.
However, the teacher said her colleagues were “disappointed” that the superintendent was not offering the same RCEA index “which he so strongly supported last year.” Both indexes began and ended with the same figures, Dyer said. The teachers saw no reason to change what they felt were logical figures last year.
