Next weekend, a few of Rappahannock’s celebrated cooks will be hosts and hostesses at the annual elegant country suppers for the benefit of the Child Care and Learning Center (Sursum Corda).
Seating at these initimate affairs is limited. And although the $26 contribution for a reservation is more than reasonable when compared to restaurant offers of anywhere near the same quality, still the cost is more than many Rappahannock families can afford.
With this in mind, organizers of the benefit have volunteered to share a sampling of the menus and recipes so others may plan their own at home elegant country suppers.
But fen- those whose tastebuds are tingling after reading the menus, a few reservations are still available. For information, call Cecily Kohler at 675-3121.
