The decision reached by the Rappahannock Board of Supervisors OB November 5 to condemn 138 acres of land to create a county landfill has led, to the creation of a group of citizen* concerned about the proposed location.* More than 50 people have formed the Concerned Citizens of Rappahannock County (CCRC) in an effort to find an* other location for the landfill.
The proposed landfill site is off of Route 621, and the members of CCRG are concerned about the impact a land* fill may have on the environment and, land value in the area. The group maintains that the Covington and Rush Rivers would be adversely affected by the landfill
