Forest Grove Harvest Supper The annual Harvest Supper will be held at the old Forest Grove Sehool House on Saturday, November 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. Hie menu will consist of old Virginia ham and turkey with all the trimmings. Adults and all carry-out boxes will be $6 if tickets are purchased before November 17. At the door tickets will be $6.50 for adults and children under 12 will be $2. AH proceeds will benefit the Forest Grove Baptist Church and the pubtte is urged to support this event. ‘The Dresser’ The film “The Dresser” will be shown at the Gay Street Theatre on Friday, November 16 (a change from the usual Saturday showing because of the "Belle of Amherst”) and Sunday, November. 18. This film is about the complex relationship of an old Shakespearean actor (Albert Finney) and his dresser (Tom Courtney), which received Academy Awards nominations for Best Picture and Best Actors. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. It’s rated PG.

Wakefield Talent Show Wakefield School in Huntly will hold its second annual Talent Show on Friday evening, November 16, at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend. There will be a $1 admission charge to benefit the junior class project, which raises funds for the school. For more information, call Helen Ruisi at 685-8111.

Christmas In The Country To Be Celebrated "Christmas In The Country Fair” will be held the entire month of November at the Sperryville Antique Market. Many handcrafted gift items and antiques will be available. The market is open each weekend from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is located just off Route 211 in Sperryville. Fire & Rescue Association Meeting The Rappahannock Fire and Rescue Association meeting will be held on Friday, November 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Washington fire hall. All members and interested persons are urged to attend.

Auxiliary Schedule Dance The Amissville Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor a dance at the Amissville Fire Hall on November 24, 9 to 1 a.m. Music by Roger Donald and Ramblin Fever. $10 couple. Call 937-5269 for reservations.

Sperryville 4-H Club To Meet The Sperryville Community 4-H Club will meet on Monday, November 19 at 7 p.m. at the Sperryville fire hall. New projects will begin and election of officers will be held. All area youngsters between the ages of 9 and 19 are invited to attend. In order for project leaders to be notified each member is asked to please contact the leader at 967-8058 so projects may be confirmed.

Knitting Class To Begin A beginners knitting class will be held for all interested individuals on November 15, 20 and 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Courthouse in Washington. The first project will be a simple scarf, a great gift tor Christinas. Participants are asked to bring a set of size 8 knitting needles and a skein of four-ply yarn of your color choice. This is being sponsored by the Rappahannock County Extension Homemakers.
