To the editor
Our county Board of Supervisors has recently taken drastic actions to establish a sanitary landfill. The proposed landfill site is located in a beautiful, populated neighborhoood which includes a portion of the Rush River and Covington River watersheds.
We have responded to this proposal by organizing a new group, Concerned Citizens of Rappahannock County. To date, our group includes about 80 interested citizens who are working towards a solution to the solidwaste problem that is fiscally sound and environmentally appropriate.
Some of our members live near the landfill site. Others live miles away,
