tern. The Board decided to have the contract reviewed and to have Estabrook look into the matter further before the payment of the premium ia approved.
Estabrook reported that the elementary school’s roof repairs are moving ahead. He said that all of the rooms in the north wing of the building are covered by the new roof, and that replacement of stained ceiling tiles will begin by the end of next week. About 400 tiles will have to be replaced in the entire building when the roof is completed.
An update was heard by the Board on the gifted and talented program, and Estabrook told the Board that a workshop held on November 12 had helped to dispel some of the teachers’ questions. He also reported that 60 requests were sent out to people in the community to become resource people for the program, and that 20 affirmative replies had been received. Student testing for the program will begin soon.
In executive session, the Board confirmed a previous action on a request by a family for exemption from compulsory attendance, and denied a non-resident request for attendance.
