Bomberger considers himself an artist, and one way of organizing his creative talents is through directing. Philosophically, Bomberger feels anger to be a useless emotion. He therefore is often slow to respond negatively, but instead typically says, “I’ll give the idea some thought and come back to it later.”
Bomberger came to Rappahannock in 1973 and in 74 directed his first play, “Winnie The Pooh.” Since that time, he has directed 23 productions. Many have been large-cast musicals, others have been comedies such as “Arsenic And Old Lace” and mysteries such as “The Mousetrap.”
