• injured in a practice game of basketball in the school auditorium Tuesday night. He underwent surgery at University of Virginia Hospital on Thursday for a broken bone in his shoulder. He returned to his home Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Reid of Washington, Va. celebrated their birthdays Sunday. They were both born the same day of the same month of the same year, November 8,1893.
Mr. and Mrs. Colvin Fender of Boston, who are moving to Hot Springs, were given a surprise farewell party by Slate Mills Home Demostration Club on November 4th at the Fender home.
