“Choices of Christmas,” the Middleburg Garden Club’s annual Greens Show is scheduled for Friday, December 7 and Saturday, December 8. The show will be held at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church parish house. For more information call Mrs. C. Fred Kohler at 703-6876316.

Community Thanksgiving Day Service

This years community Thanksgiving Day Service, a cooperative effort of the Reynolds Memorial and F.T. Valley Baptist churches, First Baptist Church, Promised Land Baptist Church, Washington Baptist Church, Macedonia Baptist Church, Rappahannock Charge of the United Methodist Church, Trinity Episcopal Church, St. Peter’s Catholic Mission, and the Family Worship Center will be held at l(k00 a.m., Thanksgiving Day, at the Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville.

The Reverend Bob Dunphy of the Family Worship Center will be delivering the annual Thanksgiving Day sermon. Host pastor, Reverend Doug Farmer, invites all those wishing to sing in the joint choir that day to meet at the church at 9:15 a.m.

Ruritans To Meet

The Amissville Ruritan Club will meet Wednesday, November 21 at the Amissville Baptist Church. All members are urged to attend.

Yard Sale At St. Peter’s Mission

There will be a yard sale on Saturday, November 24, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the grounds of St. Peter’s Catholic Mission, Mt. Salem Avenue. Many new and used items, including furniture, clothing, household items, jewelry and gifts will be offered. Everything priced to sell and all proceeds will benefit St. Peter’s Catholic Mission.

County-Wide Homemaker Club May Begin

If you are interested in joining a county-wide Extension Homemaker Club call the Extension office at 675-3619 or Helen Gutherie at 987-8803. Plans are to meet during the day. This is open to all people regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, handicap or poEtical affiliation.
