The Rappahannock Water and Sewer Authority received three requests for properties to be included in the plans for the Sperryville sewage system during their meeting on Thursday, June 6.
The first request was made by attorney Bill Fletcher on behalf of Peter F. Weslow. Hank Gerhart, engineer with Buchart-Hom, Inc., of Williamsburg, told Authority members that the house owned by Weslow is located about 345 feet from where the main sewage line will be.
“I would estimate the cost of putting in a line to the house at $8,100, and that has not been budgeted for,” Gerhart said. “You would have to dig into the contingency fund to do it.”
Fletcher said that the house, which has direct sewage discharge into the Thornton River, should have been
