Saturday, three girls from

Rappahannock participated in an All-Comers track and field meet held in Winchester. . . Leveme Summers and Ruby Faye Dunn, both of Washington and both inexperienced in track, made up for a total of six wins. . .Sharon Foster of Flint Hill, in excellent form over the hurdles, finished in 12.5 seconds, her best time, for a first in the 80-yard low hurdles.

The Girl Scout Troop under

the direction of Mrs. Diane Watson of Flint Hill had an awards court ceremony last Thursday evening which concluded their group activities for the summer. They will reconvene in the fall. The girls presented interesting skits and readings undertaken in conjunction with obtaining drama merit badges. Among the group were Cathy Atkins, Beverly Wharton, Cynthia Bywaters, Mrs. Watson, Shannon Streagle, Janet Jenkins, Gwen Jordan and Amanda Magee.
