She still has that first Shair-pei, besides nine other dogs that she keeps for breeding purposes. “All of them are my pets, and I don’t breed them all of the time,” Ylva said. “I try to plan so that there will be a few litters at a time.”
On the day of the interview, Ylva had her 10 dogs, six 17-day-old puppies and some females sent to her to breed with her two males. She also had some Yorkshires since she still breeds them occasionally.
