The annual Amissville Firemen’s Carnival began last night with rides opening at 7 p.m. The carnival is the first of the season in Rappahannock County and members of the fire and rescue squad have planned an entertaining time for the public.
On Thursday night a live Bluegrass Band will perform.
Parade night is Friday, starting a 7 p.m. The parade will include floats, such as the Ladies Auxiliary Queen float, and various fire and rescue units from Rappahannock and surrounding counties. Representatives from the Sheriffs Department will head the parade.
