"We are not going to let you hang,” White said. “I think everyone would vote to hook up the property now, but we have to look into the legal and grant matters.” White said that the information should be gathered by the Authority’s next meeting in a month.
Eric Kvarnes requested that a six stall bathroom he is planning for his crafts village on Route 211 be included in the system’s plans. Gerhart said that 500 feet of additional line would be required to connect the proposed bathroom facility to the main sewage line at a cost of $8,000 to $9,000.
“This would be add-on, or new construction,” Gerhart said. “I would recommend that the Authority favorably consider the request when the project shakes down and you know what money you have to work with. ”
Gerhart pointed out that no payments to the contractors have been made as yet. “The project is just starting with the main-line and plant to be done in eight months and the septic tanks and other lines four months later,” Gerhart said. “Within six months you should have a good handle on what money you’ll have in the contingency fund.”
