Also attending the picnic were Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Woodward of Castleton and their grandson, John Henry Woodward, Jr. Great music was provided by Mr. Woodie Sheads and his band from Rixeyville and everyone had a marvelous time.
A special happy birthday goes out to Richard Schoppet who celebrated this week by visiting the Aditi Festival of India at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D. C. He was joined in his adventure by his wife, Nancy. The exhibition was completely organized by the Smithsonian Instituion and the Government of India and incorporated 1,500 beautiful and varied objects, both ancient and contemporary, with India’s folk traditions as expressed by 40 craftsmen and performing artists.
