Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Crews’ daughter, Katherine Wells, and Herman Baber, of Camp Springs, were united in marriage on Aug. 31 at Mt. Salem Baptist Church. The reception followed at the Crews’ home with about 65 guests attending.
The wedding rehearsal was held Friday night at the church, followed by dinner at the Rappahannock Recreational Park. The dinner was catered by Kevin and Jane Weisgerber and Rae Hasse of Sperryville.
Katherine and Herman are honeymooning in Dallas, Texas, and Mexico.
Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Crews were Edith Parsons, Mrs. Crews’ sister, and Jean Parsons, a cousin, of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and Annis Hudson of Manassas.
Visiting Mrs. Alice Wood Sunday evening were her brother and sisterin-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Reid of McLean.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jenkins on the birth of a daughter on Thursday at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton. The Jenkinses have three sons, Bobby, Kirk and James.
Mrs. Emily Fincham is still a patient in Warren Memorial Hosptial and is visited regularly by her family and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Adkins and sons, Devin and Chad, of Andrews Air Force Base, John Eubanks, Jr., Louise Adkins and daughter, Benita, were overnight guests Saturday of Louise’s sister, Mrs. Maxine Ball and family in Peterstown, W. Va.
Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Weakley camped at Fair-Oaks Campground in Williamsburg Thursday through Monday. While there, they toured Jamestown and crossed over by ferry to Surry and had dinner at the Surry House Restaurant.
