Frank Beahm, of Alexandria, led the group in singing “When the Roll is Called Up Yonder,” which was the favorite hymn of George W. Beahm. Frank also gave the blessing after which the food was piled high on everyone’s plate.
The oldest person in attendance was Georgia Jenkins Vaughn, of Fredericksburg, granddaughter of G.W. Beahm. Tlie youngest was 18 month old John Hines, son of Robert and Lucy Beahm Himes, of Smithfield. Those traveling the greatest distance to attend were Claude Dodsen, Lt. Col. U.S.A.F. Retired, and his daughter, Margaret D. Fudger, of Sumter, S.C. Other out-of-state attendees were from Ohio, Pa., Md. and Washington, D.C.
