The slogan, “more of a good thing is better,” is not necessarily true for vitamin and mineral supplements, especially for the fat-soluble vitamins. These are stored in the body and are harmful when consumed in large quantities.

Various food faddists have claimed that megadoses (more than 10 times the recommended amount) of water soluable vitamins are not harmful because the excess is released through the urine. THIS IS FALSE!

La)*ge doses of these vitamins can be toxic to your system. You can become dependent on these and actually go though withdrawal symptoms when you discontinue use. Too much of one vitamin will interfere with the body’s absorption of another. The following is a list of symptoms of vitamin toxicity:
