Environmental
group to meet
The Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection (RLEP) has set a meeting date tomorrow in the county library to discuss “All About Bees” and elect new officers.
The 7:30 p.m. meeting will include a presentation on the invaluable contribution made by honeybees to our agriculture and crops.
Honey production, enemies of bees, including pesticides and bears, and the invading African “Killer Bees” will be topics of discussion.
The panel will consist of Maurice Herndon, John Marocchi and Jens Tholand, Sperryville-area beekeepers who are also members of the Northern Piedmont Beekeepers Association.
The meeting is open to the public.
