The second annual reunion of the George W. and Nancy Bolen Beahm clan was held on Sept. 1 at the Rappahannock County Park. One hundred Beahm descendants enjoyed a rewarding day against the majestic backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains renewing old acquaintanceships and making new friends.
Pnor to partaking of a sumptious meal from the vast variety of mouthwatering food set on the groaning, overloaded tables, a business meeting was called to order where a decision was reached to hold next year’s reunion at the same location on the first Sunday in September.
Jim Galloway, of Columbus, Ohio, who, along with his wife, Dorothy, has been researching the Beahm/Beam/Boehm family genealogy with intentions of publishing a family history in 1988, was the master of ceremonies again. He gave a brief outline of the first five generations of the Virginia Beahms, telling some human interest stories and facts about the early pioneers.
