Robert K. Tobin
Robert K. “Bob” Tobin, 76, of Route 1, Covington, died Aug. 23 in Alleghany Regional Hospital.
Mr. Tobin was bom in Rappahannock County and was the son of the late Kemuel G. and Nora Edna Kidwell Tobin. He was retired from Pollution Abatement at Wesvaco Paper Mill in Covington. He was a member of Falling Springs Presbyterian Church.
His survivors include his wife, Nina Jackson Tobin; a son, Robert Jackson Tobin; two sisters, Margaret Holzier and Easter Mae Wood, both of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; and five grandchildren.
A funeral was conducted Aug. 25 at R.M. Loving Chapel, Covington. The Rev. Stephen Hundley officiated. Burial was at Falling Springs Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Falling Springs Presbyterian Church or the American Cancer Society.
Clarence L. Turner
Clarence Lee Turner, 55, of Boyce, died Aug. 27 in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Turner was bom in Rappahannock County. He was the son of the late Jessie Lee and Ruth Pennington Reed. He was an orchard laborer.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Ann Turner; four sisters, Violet Seekford of Front Royal, Mary Gibbs of Oregon, Alice Reed and Helen Reed, both of Alexandria; and five brothers, Roy Reed and Kenneth W. Reed, both of Rixeyville, Roger L. Reed of Hume, James Reed and Jack Reed, both of Alexandria.
A graveside service was conducted on Aug. 30 in Leads Cemetery at Hume by the Rev. Wilson D. Jones.
Enders Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
