The next day, Doris and Frank went to Canaan Valley, a ski and summer resort. There is a ski lift with a chair that goes way up high on the side of the mountain — a breathtaking view! They also visited the beautiful Blackwater Falls near Davis, W. Va. There sparkling water tumbles 63 feet over a rocky ledge.
The Sunshine State, the land of swaying palm trees and warm ocean breezes, is where we find Alan, Kathy and Brandy Knighting these days. Alan’s mother Martha reports that they are having a wonderful time vacationing and visiting Kathy’s father, who lives in homestead, south of Miami. Luckily, Elena hasn’t caused any problems or bad weather in the area. In fact, Alan and Kathy are spending some of their leisure time boating off the Florida Keys. Vacations — what a delightful part of living! The icing on the cake!
