The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, after two months vacation, will meet Sept. 10 at 2 p.m. in the Culpeper United Methodist Church. Hostesses will be Mrs. Zillah Gutowaski and Mrs. William Spillman, Jr.
Constitution Week is Sept. 1622, so it is fitting that the topic for this month be “The Foundation of Our Country — The Constitution.” The speaker for this occasion will be Mrs. Carol O’Connor Oliver, head of the social studies department at the Culpeper County High School. Other important dates to remember are:
Sept. 29 at 3 p.m. at the Culpeper United Methodist Church — a slide/talk “Sharing an Antarctic Experience” by Mr. and Mrs. Philip Brewer of Madison. A donation for the president general’s project will be accepted.
