James E. Freeman
James Edward Freeman, 68, of New York, died on Aug. 16 in King County Hospital, Brooklyn, N. Y. after a long illness.
Mr. Freeman was bom in Rappahannock County, and was the son of the late Wade and Matilean Freeman. He served as a sergeant in World War II and received a Good Conduct Medal and an African/European ribbon. Mr. Freeman worked for 20 years as foreman for Libson Construction Co. in New York.
His survivors include three sons, James and Michael Freeman, of New York, and Warren Freeman, of Philadelphia, Pa.; two daughters, Charlotte Freeman, of Philadelphia, and Diane Freeman, of New York; two step-children, Joan and Karl Freeman, of New York; two sisters, Mildred Butler, of Sperryille, and Mary L. Jordan, of Washington; and 11 grandchildren.
