Word has been received of the recent death of Mrs. Hazel Jenkins in Berryville. She was the daughter of the late Jack and Carrie Dodson of Nethers and a cousin of the late Ray Frazier of our area.

Jeannie Harrison was recently elected president of the Student Nursing Association at Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music in Winchester. She earned a 4.0 average for the semester.
Mrs. Harrison lives near Sperryville with her husband Bill and daughter Anna.

elects officers
The Sperryville Ladies Auxiliary held its annual election of officers on Monday, June 2, at the Sperryville fire hall.
Newly elected officers are president Joyce Lillard, vice-president Betty Lou Walters and secretarytreasurer Charlotte Jenkins. Meetings will be held the first Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the fire hall.
