The Child Care and Learning Center will host an open house for the community on Saturday, June 7, from 1-4 p.m. to show off the newly completed building with its four classrooms — for nursery, two, three and four-year-olds, — kitchen, and large community room.

Within each of the classrooms are different activity and learning centers, where the children can choose to play with blocks, sit in a cozy carpeted area to look at books, spend time at the houseplay area with dress-ups and kitchen equipment, or work at a table with paper, crayons and other art supplies.

The building was designed by Phil Eddy, of Falls Church, and cost about $265,000.

The Center will also be unveiling some of their summer programs for school age children and adults. On
