Norris will now advance to the regional competition which includes all of the United States, Canada, and Bermuda. The regional winner will he awarded $1500 and the winner of the world competition will receive the $10,000 grand prize.
The contest was judged by English professors from Lord Fairfax Community College and Christendom College, as well as a private citizen from Front Royal.
The Rotary Club is a world-wide civic organization dedicated to world peace and understanding, with more than three million members in 110 countries. Their organization awards more scholarships and fellowships annually than are awarded by the U.S. Government.
