‘Catch a Tale and Read’

The Rappahannock County Library will be participating in the statewide reading program Catch a Tale and Read this summer. Children aged three and up are invited to attend the library’s series which will take them on a journey into the world of imagination, foreign lands, and outer space. The theme was selected by Virginia Youth Services librarians in recognition of the exciting appearance of Halley’s Comet and the Chinese Year of the Tiger in 1986.

Registration is now open for the program, according to librarians Grace Sims and Cindy Dodson. The adventure begins on June 16 with activities including reading books, solving puzzles, drawing and coloring pictures, and a party in mid-August. Come by the Library or telephone 675-3780 to register for the fun.
