Adult classes at RCHS
During the spring semester two adult classes will be offered at Rappahannock County High School. Both classes will be held on Tuesday nights from 6:30 until 9:30. Classes begin March 3 and end May 5.
Introduction to Cabinetmaking: Students will learn the use of hand tools, power hand tools and power machines in the design, construction and finishing of projects of the individual’s choice. Tuition is $15 plus the cost of materials.
Computer Concepts: Students will learn the "basics” of computer technology. The class will progress from an explanation of how the computer works through specific applications in business and at home. Emphasis will be given to “hands-on” experience and a section on programming in the “Basic” language will be included. Tuition is $15.
Registration deadline for both classes is Friday, Feb. 27. Interested persons are asked to sign up early, since enrollment will be limited. For more information, or to register, call the high school (9878575).
Pancake supper at Trinity
Shrove Tuesday pancake supper will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church on Tuesday, March 3 from 5 to 7, in Stewart Hall. The public is invited. The sponsors, the Trinity Church Chapter of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew, will use the proceeds in the organization’s Outreach activities in the community. Tickets are available at the door and cost is $3 for adults and $2 for children.
