February is Heart Month. Not only are we concerned with the feelings of romance and love of the heart, but also with the physical well-being of the heart.
Diseases of the heart and blood vessels are the leading cause of death in the United States. Statistics show that each year more than two million Americans die: 49 percent will die of heart related diseases, 22 percent from cancer, 4.5 percent from accidental death and 24.5 percent from all other causes of death.
