Virginia voters support several bills passed during the current General Assembly session and will vote this fall to approve a state lottery, according to a poll commissioned by The Fauquier Democrat and other newspapers.
The poll released this week indicates Virginians will approve by a comfortable margin a referendum establishing a statewide lottery. State voters also support legislation mandating seat belt use, requiring hunters to wear blaze orange and limiting the amount of money a jury can award a plaintiff for pain and suffering.
