As we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of this Christmas, we must try to keep safety in mind throughout the house and yard so that we will be able to enjoy the many wonderful blessings and festivities that this season brings to one and all.

If possible, flameproof your Christmas tree and all greens used for decorating. Here is the simple formula: 9 oz. borax, 4 oz. boric acid, 1 gallon water.

Mix thoroughly and saturate greens and tree. To aid in penetrating qualities of solution for greens, add 14 tablespoon of very low-sudsing detergent to mixture. Let tree and greens dry, then decorate.
