In the three-plus months since it opened after Labor Day, the Village Cafe has proven to be a success —for both its customers and its owners.
For Marque and Ann Kolack and Lois and Arthur Neufeld, the restaurant offered a chance to fulfill a dream: to live in Rappahannock County and operate their own business.
For the cafe’s customers, it’s a place where you can grab a cup of coffee in the morning and read the Washington Post, or sit down for a home-cooked meal at lunch while catching up with the latest happenings. And, recently, the cafe has opened for dinner on Friday evenings, offering those too tired to cook an easy, and delicious, out.
