Shenandoah National Park officials recently announced that an investigation into illegal hunting and poaching in the park has resulted in a conviction in federal court.
Donald Wayne Miller of Staunton was described by officials as a “key person in a long-term scheme of illegally killing deer within the park.” Miller was sentenced to two years in prison plus an additional 18 months suspended sentence. He was also placed on probation for three years following his release.
