B’s to hold
open house
On Sunday, Dec. 13, from 1-6 p.m., the Bed-and-Breakfast Guild of Rappahannock County will host house tours and open houses at seven of the guild establishments. A $5 admission fee entitles guests to admission and refreshments at all seven houses. At the conclusion of the event a combined drawing will be held at which each Bed-andBreakfast will select a ticket. The ticket holder will receive one free night’s lodging at that Bed-andBreakfast.
Participating in the open houses and house tours will be Bunree and Four and Twenty Blackbirds in Amissville, the Gay Street Inn, Foster-Harris House, Heritage House and Caledonia Farm in Washington and The Conyers House near Slate Mills. The tour can be started at any of the seven houses, where tickets and maps are available.
“Come savor the splendor of the Blue Ridge in winter, pick up fresh cider at a roadside stand, select your Christmas tree from one of several Christmas tree farms, then enjoy a country sampler of seven distinctively different bed-and-breakfasts. This is day-tripping at its best!” according to a spokesman for the B & B Guild.
