Dave Dunwody has just been named as the new manager of Whiting Oil’s Culpeper operation.
Born in Pennsylvania and graduated from high school in Delaware, Mr. Dunwody earned degrees in history and criminal law from Pfeiffer College in North Carolina. His resume includes stints as a Marine, a successful contractor and a public servant.
“Dave comes to us by choice,” said a spokesman for Whiting Oil. “His first visits to the Culpeper area were over a decade ago, on fishing and hunting trips with his brother.” Mr. Dunwody moved to Culpeper and took a job as a town police officer, then worked with Merillatt, before assuming his present position with Whiting Oil.
He brings his zest for life, which includes such hobbies as rock climbing, to his business at Whiting Oil.
Mr. Dunwody’s wife Norma is Culpeper County’s administrator. Their son, Tucker, is a senior at Culpeper High School.
Mr. Dunwody added, “You can count on the best possible service, period. We’ll give it all we’ve got.”
