4-H Adventure team to meet

The 4-H Rappahannock Adventure Team will meet Wednesday, March 23, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church. Anyone interested is urged to attend. For more information contact the Extension Office, 675-3619.

RAAC presents Russian cellist

Russian defector and cellist Sieva Lezhnev will appear Saturday, March 19, at 8 p.m. at the Gay Street Theater. His musical program, accompanied by pianist Dingw all Fleary, will be followed by an informal discussion of Russian life and Glasnost. Lezhnev defected from Russia in 1969. Tickets for the program, which is made possible by the Virginia Commission for the Arts, are $3 and can be bought in advance at The Village Cafe, Faith Mountain, Burke's Store in Woodville, Picture This in Warrenton and The Culpeper Music Center. Tickets can also be purchased at the theatre’s box office on the night of the performance.

VABF meets March 12

The Virginia Association of Biological Farmers will hold its winter membership meeting March 12 at 10 a.m. at Piedmont Virginia Community College, Charlottesville. Principal speaker will be Ralph Grossi, president of the American Farmland Trust, w ho w ill talk about land use and farmland preservation. To reach PVCC, take Rt. 20 south from Rt. 64, exit on right from Rt. 20, uphill to campus. The meeting is open to the public. Persons attending should bring a picnic lunch. Aerobic and flexercise classes

A six-week series of aerobic dance classes will begin Tuesday, March 15. Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 p.m. at the Rappahannock Elementary School. Class fee is $25 for twice a week, or $35 for unlimited attendance to flexercise classes as well.
