“Bourbon Street Jazz,” a luncheon concert of New Orleans jazz sponsored by the Shenandoah Valley Music Festival, will be presented Sunday, March 20 at 1 p.m. at the Mimslyn Inn in Luray, Va.
The luncheon will feature Cajun and French Creole entrees of both spicy and more subtly spiced recipes. The concert, starting at 2:30 p.m., will feature the six-piece jazz combo of Easy Smith and Friends. The program will include a variety of hot jazz and blues, rags, stomps, hymns, one-steps, cakewalks and standard ballads dating back to the mid-1930s.
