maiden hurdle race. Solo Orbit was a race Imrse in California who broke his maiden on the West Coast, but has always had a hanp-up with racing. according to Mr. Yovanovich.

He doesn’t like to start, Mr. Yovanovich said, but he’s been working with him. “He has a little bit of a problem" still, the trainer admitted. “Every time I got in front, he put his toes in the ground.”

Probably the happiest rider of the day was young Patrick Worrall who won his first start over timber. Seasoned in the pony races, the Maryland rider, who just turned lb, graduated in a big way at Sperryville.
